He’s been carrying weight, and not just in the literal sense. His pride, his identity, and perhaps even his reason for staying all knot together here. It’s one of the show’s most moving character turns to date, made stronger by how little it asks of us—no swelling music, no monologue. Just a quiet moment that lands harder than expected.

Pete, meanwhile, continues to test the limits of his afterlife. His ability to wander from the house is treated with curiosity and light concern, but it’s clearly more than a joke now. He’s moving. Not crossing over, perhaps, but loosening. Whether this becomes a plot device or a deeper symbolic arc remains to be seen—but the seeds are there.

The episode itself is tightly built. The humor remains strong—especially around Trevor’s pseudo-celebrity moment—but the structure quietly supports the emotional core. It’s a balanced entry in a season that seems increasingly willing to explore the ghosts’ inner lives without slowing down its rhythm.

The afterlife, here, isn’t just a punchline. It’s a state of tension—between being seen and being known, between release and holding on. And every now and then, the surface cracks just enough to let something real through.
